The term 'Trash The Dress' is an American concept very unsubtly suggesting that the bride uses her dress on a photoshoot in which the dress gets annhialated! Some photographers may take this concept to its limits (in fact we have seen shots of the brides dress on fire!) but realistically, that isn't going to happen.

To test this theory, Julie donned her own precious dress and we headed out to the woods on wet, miserable, cold day - armed with a shovel and our cameras. After an hour of 'mucking about' in the woods we got some cracking shots - including the one above depicting her inermost fantasy - to bump me off and bury me in a shallow grave! Guess what-the dress came back perfectly fine ;@)
So what do we mean by 'Trash' then? We interpret it to mean that we are depicting a mucky, perilous activity for the gown - but in reality it is still treated with care and love! The shots however, should look like it has been through the mill.
Not brave enough? Then the alternative concept is to 'Cherish The Dress'. Same idea but the shots are a little less likely to shock!
